Issue description
Android smartphone is a complete-featured mobile phone. Some default home features and other bloatware features are still quite disappointing to see Android phones as fully optimized. However, there are some tweaks through which you can change the default app settings as per your requirement.

There are several ways to customize the Android browser, including installing new browsers or browser theme. However, the use of any third-party web browser may cause security concerns. To overcome this problem and customize default web browser content://com.android.browser.home/ syntax is used.

Android phones are preferred by most people as they offer a lot of choice among features and price range. However, one problem that every Android user faces is the over-branding that the manufacturer does in these phones. The most annoying part is the locking of the default browser and its browser homepage with manufacturer’s information. The good news is that you can easily change the default browser settings on Android phones if you are tech savvy. This article will tell you how to deal with this problem.

What is content://com.android.browser.home/

Android OS is sponsored by Google, so it’s not surprising that its default browser is Google Chrome. Sometimes phone manufacturers skin pure Android OS with their skins and put in their web browser as default browser. Most times when you open browsers on such phones you are flooded with unnecessary ads and articles.

This is where content://com.android.browser.home/ becomes useful. This URL is used for defining the homepage of your Android browser. The best way to understand this URL is by breaking it into parts.

1. content:// – This command allows you to share content among different or same parts of a single application or multiple applications on an Android phone. Therefore, in the Android development environment, you can use content:// to communicate between two activities.
