bug_report_tiny.png 05:24  Bug report #991 - Dragging in order to ungroup the stuff does not work on Mac
ipopon : Issue created
Hello. I know there is no ungroup function implemented yet, but I read that people can drag files out of the layer and delete that layer after. If I drag something out from a layer on Mac, nothing happens. This is a really frustrating bug, I hope you can fix it soon.

bug_report_tiny.png 11:59  Bug report #989 - Synfig crashes after reopen closed file
Fadhilkwan : Issue created
Synfig immediately crashes after opening a file that just closed before. This goes to both sifz. and sif file types

another problem is that if you load a same file twice then close it, you can't reload it back or synfig just crash. if it stuck simply restart to get out of this bug

i'm using synfig version 1.1.12, the most recent version (2016-11-11 release)

My specs are :
# Win 10 64-bit
# Multi-screen user
# Intel i5 + NVidia GeForce laptop

bug_report_tiny.png 20:00  Website issue #987 - Website points to two different bug trackers
PeterGB : Issue created
The last block of page http://www.synfig.org/cms/en/support/ says in the '''left''' column:
"If you have found a bug in Synfig Studio, let us know by submiting an entry in the bug tracker". Here, "bug tracker" is a link that points to <https://github.com/synfig/synfig/issues>.

This same block says in the '''right''' column:
"If you have a great idea on improving Synfig Studio, you can submit an entry to the bug tracker." Here, "bug tracker" is a link that points to <http://www.synfig.org/issues/thebuggenie/synfig>.

AFAICS, these link destinations are really different from one another: the links do '''not''' point to the same location under different names. So there is a real risk that unsuspecting users report bugs to the wrong tracker.

Possible fix: The first bug tracker seems to be the one that has fallen into disuse, so the text in the left column ought to be changed to point to <http://www.synfig.org/issues/thebuggenie/synfig>.

feature_request_tiny.png 20:38  Feature request #984 - (LAYER) Remove from Group and Ungroup commmands
Fortitude : Issue created
== Raison d'etre ==

Currently there is no way to remove a layer from a layer group, or to delete the group without deleting the contents (ungrouping the child layers.) On [http://www.synfig.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9103 the Synfig Forums] users ''bartovan'' and ''Genete'' said you could remove a layer by dragging it out, but this does not seem to be working in Synfig Studio v.1.0.2 (Mac).

== Remove From Group ==

The '''Remove From Group''' command should appear in the right-click menu on a layer and in a button on the bottom panel, selectable when the current layer selection is 1 or more layers all inside the same group. When activated it should take the selected layers and move them to the same organizational level as the group they've been removed from.

==== Remove From Group sample use ====

Given layers

* Group1
** Layer1
** Layer2 (selected)
** Layer3
** Layer4 (selected)
*Layer5

choosing '''Remove From Group''' should result in

* Group1
** Layer1
** Layer3
*Layer2 (selected)
*Layer4 (selected)
*Layer5

== Ungroup ==

The '''Ungroup''' command should appear in the right-click menu on a layer and in a button on the bottom panel, selectable when the current layer selection includes 1 or more groups. When activated it should take those groups' child layers, and move them to the same organizational level as the group they've been removed from, delete the originally selected groups, and select the moved child layers .

=== Ungroup Sample use ===

Given layers

* Group1 (selected)
** Layer1
** Layer2
** Group2
***Layer3
***Layer4
* Group3
**Layer5
**Layer6

choosing '''Ungroup''' should result in

* Layer1 (selected)
* Layer2 (selected)
* Group2 (selected)
**Layer3
**Layer4
* Group3
**Layer5
**Layer6

==Keyboard Shortcuts recommendations==

Keyboard shortcuts are difficult to determine or nonexistent on my platform, but since Ctrl-G is already taken for '''Show/Hide Grid''', I recommend the following:

* Ctrl-Alt-G for Group
* Ctrl-Alt-Shift-G for Ungroup
* Ctrl-Alt-Fn-G for Remove from Group

Thank you.

Just built a fresh synfig from master and dock area buttons are now this huge:

Version info:
<source>
Development version:
Revision: 20160902
Branch: master
Revision ID: b297b1

Built on Sep 7 2016

Built with:
ETL 0.04.20
Synfig API (010002)
Synfig library 49
GTK+ 3.21.5
GNU G++ 6.2.0

Using:
Synfig 1.1.11
GTK+ 3.21.5
</source>
GTK themes: i tried Adwaita and Numix - both have this issue. Some themes that don't support gtk-3.20+ seem to not draw this buttons at all. For now i solved this problem by disabling this buttons, since i couldn't find a way to fix their size. But i suppose they're the only way to make new dock layouts now..
