Issue description
The Brush tool is acting strange on me. I attached a screenshot of what happens when I try to draw a simple line: It starts drawing all over the place. The small dot up there is where I started the line, the mouse cursor is where I stopped drawing.

Also, while I draw, Synfig seems to lag badly, trying to expand the brush layer that got created, when I cross the border of that layer.

I'm using Synfig 1.0.1 on Arch Linux, MATE Desktop.

Steps to reproduce this issue
  1. open Synfig
  2. select brush tool
  3. start drawing
