Issue description
Hi,

Can you please realize the following behavior: When there's only one canvas opened, don't display the tab panel. You can follow this forum message for better understanding: http://www.synfig.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5817

This feature would be cool if you're running Synfig on a small screen (many netbooks, ultrabooks, etc.), because the vertical space is very limited.

Notice, that we have a dock buttons (on the left) in the same row. Removing them is not good.

Anyway, vertical space is better in the recent GTK branch. ^__^

Maybe make a switch then? Something like a checkbox in Edit->Preferences->Misc.->Open new project in separate window. If it is set, then new project will be opened in a window without dock and tab panel.

Also, is GTK3 build available on Windows platform? It would be interesting to test without a need to install Linux.

You can detach document tab from the main window. ^__^

Unfortunately, no Gtk3 builds available for Windows yet. But the feature mentioned above (tab detaching) is available with current builds, which are published on Synfig website.
