Issue description
I can´t use Synfig. Just downloaded last stable versión, the DMG package, and when trying Knight Rider tutorial program crashes when clicking Add new Key Frame button.

I´ve read about this issue, another one talked about this on Windows 8, but I found no solution (can´t reproduce, not a bug, and closed). I find it obvious that there is a problem with this. At forums I can find the following entry, so there are many users with this problem (at least, some Windows and Mac users).

"I've read in the IRC logs and other comments in somewhere, that adding a Keyframe (the first one) produces a crash.

Can anyone reproduce it and specify a operating system where it happens?

I can't reproduce in OSX 10.8 or Linux Mint 14 64 bits. -G "

Thanks. I wonder that this can be solved.

Steps to reproduce this issue
Open Synfig.

Open keyframes window.

Click on "Add new Keyframe"

(obviously only some users can reproduce this problem; if not nobody could use the program)

This issue should be fixed in upcoming 0.64.1 version. Please test if you have it with 0.64.1-RC2 - http://www.synfig.org/cms/en/news/synfig-studio-0-64-1-release-candidate-2/

There is a feeling that I'm terribly unlucky with my devices, because I hear and see the “connection failure” message almost more often than “good morning” from my loved ones. I recently had problems with my Mac. I struggled making it go sleep. Thankfully, I found a decent article on the topic here https://setapp.com/how-to/how-to-stop-mac-from-sleeping. There are quite clear, step-by-step guides that help me figure out where I made a mistake, but honestly I don’t understand why I can’t do everything the first time.
