Here's a patch to fix this issue.

That patch looks to be C++ code. So I need to install all the ffmpeg source code, make sure I have a compatible C++ compiler, get it all set up on my Windows system with all the right directories and setup and everything, and completely recompile and update my ffmpeg installation, so that synfig will render to something better than a simple gif animation (which renders very poorly on my simple "Knight Rider" tutorial animation)?
Maybe I could just get a fixed installation exe and just reinstall synfig with it. It's tough if everybody who uses synfig needs to be a programmer (which I do happen to be).
Just my thought on the matter.
