Issue description
Inspired by *, I think we really need some tests in synfig. Once we have some tests, refactoring should become much easier or at all possible, since we can be sure that we are not breaking anything. I will start by adding some tests with Google Test, which is a very nice and professional framework, under synfig-core/test/gtest. The tests will be run by doing make check there.

Sometimes it seems to me that the solution to the problem is somewhere under my nose, but I don't see it. For example, I recently found a great website on the Internet https://www.pdfplatform.com/convert-png-to-pdf , which gave me the opportunity to convert images into pdf documents in a couple of clicks. This is an extremely convenient tool and allows you to compress the document for sending as well.
