“...That was the original idea from day one - the elimination of the tweening process. But it is certainly not the only feature of Synfig that makes it unique. In addition to eliminating the tweening process, I also wanted Synfig to be used for pretty much every part of production except story-boarding and editing.”

New Bug Tracker

Posted by Konstantin Dmitriev on December 26, 2012

Today we are happy to announce the new bug tracker for Synfig Studio!

For the last two weeks we have successfully migrated all open issues from the old bugtracker and now we are welcome everyone to register and submit new issues.

We hope that the new bugtracking system will improve your experinece in bug reporting and bring the communication between Synfig Studio users and developers to the new level.

Here are some notable benefits of the new system:

  • Fancy interface. It's just that. And yes, the comments are finally displayed in the proper, readable order.
  • Powerfull search and categorization. Now we canĀ  sort issues by different criterias, tag them and even have the list of easy tasks for newcoming developers!
  • Issue watching. Don't let anything get out of your attention - you can subscribe to get updates for any issue of your choice.
  • Voting. Now you can vote for issues and help us to identify the most demanded features and fixes.
  • Github integration. Since we're heading to GitHub, this is a good feature for developers allowing to control issue state right from commit messages.

The migration to the new bugtracker is an important step in Synfig Studio development which will help us to bring the better software for you. We hope you will like the changes.

Hi,
I am trying to make a animation from my company logo which is a Octopus. How can I make a animation staring with a body staying a one point not moving and just having the legs grow out of the body ???
I have already tried so many thngs. I think I am close but stuck at the moment. Can you give me some advice.
I made several pictures in several stages of the leg growth, but I cant get the picture to move..
Looking forward hearing from you.
Best Regards

Hi, Bill.
We recommend you to start by reading the "Diving In" section in the Manual: http://wiki.synfig.org/wiki/Category:Manual

This should resolve most of your questions.
