“...That was the original idea from day one - the elimination of the tweening process. But it is certainly not the only feature of Synfig that makes it unique. In addition to eliminating the tweening process, I also wanted Synfig to be used for pretty much every part of production except story-boarding and editing.”

Morevna Project Demo released

Posted by genete on November 11, 2012

poster-ext-smallest.pngThe release of Morevna Project Demo is one of the most important milestone for the history of Synfig Studio. This demo is the proof of validation of Synfig Studio as primary tool for animation production.

The demo is not the end of a process, instead of that, it is the start of a new cycle. All the information collected during its realization is going to be used in the development of Synfig in order to polish, fix and improve its features and usability.

It is time to congratulate Konstantin Dmitriev for his huge work and passion put on this project. Thanks to him, Synfig is better now.

Now it is our turn. Let's make Synfig the best free and open source 2D animation software he can use for the next episode of Morevna.

The video of the demo is here.

Enjoy!

Wow! Congratulations on a job well done guys. And congrats as it was featured on Blender Nation today. I watched the Video there. It's really neat. I can't wait to see the whole movie. I've been waiting for so long for this film. I'm very excited. Keep up the good work Morevna Project Crew.

PS: If you want to make Music for your movie, you can use LMMS.
Also known as Linux Multimedia Studio. It's Open Source too. And check us out on the Lmms forums too, if you have any questions.
Bye and much Love from Trance composer Brandy Starbrite. Laterz guys.

This demo is utterly awe inspiring... A few years ago this would have taken a huge studio the like of Disney to produce - with an army of of artists. Konstantin Dmitriev is obviously extremely talented -as is the hugely talented people who have made this work of art! All that Synfig needs now is properly integrated sound editing and a few more talents with the calibre of Dmitriev and company... Really amazing... Outstanding...
