“...That was the original idea from day one - the elimination of the tweening process. But it is certainly not the only feature of Synfig that makes it unique. In addition to eliminating the tweening process, I also wanted Synfig to be used for pretty much every part of production except story-boarding and editing.”

OK, everyone, today I have a really good news - starting from October 1st our full time developer Ivan Mahonin is back to Synfig development!
If you watch for Synfig development closely, then you probably remember Ivan and his role - for the first time he was hired to work on Synfig in August 2013 and since then implemented a lot of exciting features, pushing its development to the new level. Six weeks ago he have left the project and we had a pretty silent time since then. But now we have managed to get him back to work on Synfig in October.
Here I would like to say much thanks to everyone who donated to the project during the last period - your support made this event possible.
Ivan will work for Synfig for the whole October, so you can expect some good movement. And meanwhile I will try to find resources to keep him working in November as well. Stay tuned!
