Dear friends! Our fundraising campaign for Synfig optimization is closed now. Much thanks to everyone who contributed and made development of Cobra rendering engine possible!
What are the next steps?
Now we are going to give a practical testing to new render engine - we will produce an animated short! This will allow polish and eliminate occasional bugs from the current development version of Synfig. The work is already started!
The animated short is going to be released within the next 3 months under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, together with all its sources, so you can use them for learning and modifications. Much like the Blender's open movies do.
After that we will release a new stable version of Synfig.
