“...That was the original idea from day one - the elimination of the tweening process. But it is certainly not the only feature of Synfig that makes it unique. In addition to eliminating the tweening process, I also wanted Synfig to be used for pretty much every part of production except story-boarding and editing.”

We are happy to announce that our fundraising campaign for January have successfully reached its goal! We would like to express a deep gratitude to all people who supported our campaign and made it happen.
The target of the campaign was to fund full time development of Synfig in January and its success means that Ivan (our hired developer) will continue working on Synfig this month.
As usual part of the campaign, we offered a "Choose Priority" perk - it gives a previlegie to choose the priority of our development for the whole month. This time the perk was claimed by Ulrik Bodén and the chosen priority is...
FRAME-BY-FRAME (BITMAP) ANIMATION
So, the most of Ivan's work in January will be dedicated to bringing this feature into Synfig. You can follow our progress by reading my Weekly Reports on the forum.
The success of this campaign is a great beginning for 2014 and an awesome present for us and all Synfig users. Thanks to all contributors for the support!
